The Grand Seiko SBGA499 is a special limited-edition model created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 9R Spring Drive caliber, with only 1,300 pieces released worldwide. Its vivid red dial symbolizes the Hodaka mountain range glowing brightly under the rising sun, a design inspiration that showcases Grand Seiko’s mastery of nature-based aesthetics. Powered by the Spring Drive Caliber 9R65, the watch offers smooth gliding seconds, exceptional precision, a power-reserve indicator, and the reliability Grand Seiko is known for. The 40.2 mm stainless-steel case, paired with a matching steel bracelet and sapphire crystal, delivers durability along with refined elegance and 100 m water resistance. This piece is pre-owned in Rank A condition, showing light scratches on the case, bezel, bracelet, and buckle, while the sapphire crystal remains free from noticeable damage. It features a see-through back that reveals the Spring Drive’s distinctive movement. The watch comes with the manufacturer’s warranty (purchased in Japan in July 2025) and the original box, though the box shows signs of damage.
