The Grand Seiko SBGA499 is a special limited-edition model celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Spring Drive Caliber 9R, limited to only 1,300 pieces worldwide. Its vivid red dial is inspired by the Hodaka mountain range illuminated by the first light of dawn, giving the watch a striking and symbolic presence. Powered by the Spring Drive Caliber 9R65, it delivers exceptional accuracy and a smooth gliding seconds hand, along with an impressive 72-hour power reserve. The 40.2 mm stainless-steel case and bracelet are paired with a sapphire crystal and 100-meter water resistance, making the watch both elegant and robust for daily wear. Additional features include a date complication and a power-reserve indicator positioned on the dial, adding to its practicality and signature Spring Drive aesthetic.
Regarding its condition, this pre-owned Rank A watch exhibits slight scratches on the case and minor marks on the bracelet, while the bezel, buckle, and sapphire crystal show no noticeable damage. The dial, hands, and overall appearance remain clean and well-preserved. It comes with the manufacturer’s warranty (purchased in Japan in February 2025), the original box, and maintenance support, ensuring full authenticity and reassurance for the buyer.
