Product Description

The OMEGA Speedmaster Professional 5th 145.022-69ST, manufactured around 1970, is a historically significant timepiece from the era of the first moon landing. This model belongs to the fifth generation of Speedmasters, marking the transition from the Caliber 321 to the more robust Caliber 861 manual-winding movement. It features a stainless steel case, a black aluminum tachymeter bezel (a later replacement from the 1980s), and a plastic crystal, preserving its vintage appeal. The black dial with a printed OMEGA logo and the flat case back engraved with a Seahorse are characteristic details of this period. The original 1039/516 stainless steel bracelet remains in good condition with minimal wear. While the hands show signs of aging, the luminescent tritium markers enhance its vintage charm. Recently overhauled in May 2023, this pre-owned model is a highly collectible Speedmaster with a strong connection to space exploration history.
