Buy Certified Pre-Owned A. Lange & Söhne Watches in Switzerland

Ferdinand Adolph Lange founded A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte, Saxony, in 1845, with the explicit goal of building a German watchmaking centre capable of rivalling Swiss precision. His signature innovation, the three-quarter plate, replaced individual movement bridges with a single stabilising plate — a defining feature of Glashütte watchmaking still used today. The company was nationalised in 1948 under Soviet occupation and ceased to exist for over four decades, until Walter Lange, Ferdinand's great-grandson, re-registered the brand in 1990 following German reunification, precisely 145 years after its founding. Today A. Lange & Söhne remains headquartered in Glashütte and is part of the Richemont Group.

At WATCHOYSTER, we carry a selection of certified pre-owned A. Lange & Söhne watches inspected in Switzerland. Every piece has been physically examined by our in-house certified watchmaker, verified against The Watch Register, and documented before listing. What you see reflects the actual condition of the watch, with no exceptions.

Why Buy Pre-Owned A. Lange & Söhne Watches?

A. Lange & Söhne occupies a distinctive position in haute horlogerie: German, not Swiss, manufacture, with in-house movements finished to a standard rivalled by very few houses at any price. Annual production remains deliberately limited, which keeps demand for pre-owned pieces consistently strong. Buying a certified second-hand Lange from a verified dealer in Switzerland means every piece has been assessed for movement accuracy, case condition and finishing integrity before listing. Our 12-month warranty applies to every watch in our catalogue, and our 14-day return policy covers any case where the watch does not correspond to its description.

Purchase Conditions

All A. Lange & Söhne watches in our catalogue are available for immediate purchase with worldwide insured delivery. Standard delivery across Switzerland takes 2 to 3 business days. For clients who prefer to inspect the watch in person before completing the purchase, our appointment-only lounge in the Geneva Free Zone is available by prior arrangement.

Financing is available on selected pre-owned A. Lange & Söhne references for clients based in Switzerland, with terms from 3 to 24 months, no interest and no administrative fees. The full purchase price is divided into equal monthly instalments, with a minimum first payment of 25%. A decision takes under three minutes at checkout, with no documentation required beyond standard order information.
