NOMOS was founded in Glashütte in 1990, immediately after German reunification, in a town that had been producing precision watches since 1845 and whose watchmaking tradition had survived nationalization, division and four decades of planned economy production. The brand's founding proposition was straightforward: Bauhaus-influenced design, in-house movements produced in Glashütte to the standards that the town's name legally requires, and pricing that made German manufacture watchmaking accessible without sacrificing the transparency of what was inside the case. NOMOS now produces the majority of its movement components in-house, including the DUW 3001 with its proprietary swing system, one of the most distinctive lever escapement designs in contemporary watchmaking.

For clients who prefer a personal handover, our appointment-only lounge in the Geneva Free Zone is available by prior arrangement.

The minimum first payment is 25% of the purchase price, with the balance divided into equal fixed monthly instalments confirmed at checkout in under three minutes with no documentation required.
