Casio entered watchmaking in 1974 and changed the category permanently in 1983 with the launch of the G-Shock, a watch engineered to survive drops, shocks and water exposure that conventional watches were never designed to withstand. The original development brief reportedly called for a watch that could survive being dropped from a third-floor window, a target that shaped a design philosophy still visible in every G-Shock produced today. Decades later, the G-Shock and the digital Casio catalogue more broadly have built a collector culture entirely separate from traditional luxury watchmaking, with certain vintage and limited-edition references commanding prices well beyond their original retail cost.
At WATCHOYSTER, we carry a selection of certified pre-owned Casio watches inspected in Switzerland. Every piece has been physically examined by our in-house certified watchmaker, verified against The Watch Register, and documented before listing. What you see reflects the actual condition of the watch, with no exceptions.
Casio's most collectible references are concentrated in earlier G-Shock and digital lines that are no longer in production, with original Japanese-market pieces and discontinued colourways attracting genuine collector demand. The pre-owned market is where these earlier references consistently surface, often in unworn or barely used condition. Buying a certified second-hand Casio from a verified dealer in Switzerland means every piece has been assessed for case integrity, module function and overall condition before listing. Our 12-month warranty applies to every watch in our catalogue, and our 14-day return policy covers any case where the watch does not correspond to its description.
All Casio watches in our catalogue are available for immediate purchase with worldwide insured delivery. Standard delivery across Switzerland takes 2 to 3 business days. For clients who prefer to inspect the watch in person before completing the purchase, our appointment-only lounge in the Geneva Free Zone is available by prior arrangement.
Financing is available on selected pre-owned Casio references for clients based in Switzerland, with terms from 3 to 24 months, no interest and no administrative fees. The full purchase price is divided into equal monthly instalments, with a minimum first payment of 25%. A decision takes under three minutes at checkout, with no documentation required beyond standard order information.
