Buy Certified Pre-Owned Lemania Watches in Switzerland
Lemania was founded in 1884 in the Vallée de Joux by Alfred Lugrin, a watchmaker trained at Jaeger-LeCoultre who built one of the most technically respected movement manufacturers in Swiss history, despite the brand rarely appearing on a dial under its own name. The Lemania 2310, developed in 1942, became the chronograph movement chosen by Omega for the Speedmaster Professional, the watch worn on the surface of the moon during the Apollo missions, and the same calibre lineage was later supplied to Patek Philippe for its own perpetual calendar chronographs. Lemania's manufacture in L'Orient was absorbed into Breguet under the Swatch Group in 1999, but watches signed simply Lemania remain genuinely scarce, since the company spent most of its history producing movements for other houses rather than its own finished watches.
At WATCHOYSTER, we carry a selection of certified pre-owned Lemania watches, sourced and inspected in Switzerland. Every piece has been physically examined by our in-house certified watchmaker, verified against The Watch Register, and documented before listing. What you see reflects the actual condition of the watch, with no exceptions.
Why Buy Pre-Owned Lemania
Lemania occupies a position that rewards genuine horological knowledge: column-wheel chronograph movements with the same engineering DNA found in Omega, Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin references, available at a fraction of those brands' prices because the dial carries the Lemania name instead. The pre-owned market is effectively the only route to these watches, since the brand has not produced new finished timepieces under its own name for decades. Buying a certified second-hand Lemania from a verified dealer in Switzerland means every piece has been assessed for column-wheel function, case condition and movement originality before listing, an assessment that matters considerably given how often Lemania-powered watches are mistaken for simpler chronographs. Our 12-month warranty applies to every watch in our catalogue, and our 14-day return policy covers any case where the watch does not correspond to its description.
