Audemars Piguet was founded in Le Brassus in 1875 and remains one of the three manufactures forming the Holy Trinity of Swiss watchmaking, alongside Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin. The brand's defining moment arrived in 1972 with the Royal Oak, designed by Gérald Genta as the first luxury sports watch in steel, a category that did not previously exist and that Audemars Piguet effectively created. Still privately owned by descendants of its founding families, the manufacture continues to produce complicated movements entirely in-house, with the Royal Oak and Royal Oak Offshore remaining among the most sought-after references in the secondary market.
At WATCHOYSTER, we carry a selection of certified pre-owned Audemars Piguet watches, sourced and inspected in Switzerland. Every piece has been physically examined by our in-house certified watchmaker, verified against The Watch Register, and documented before listing. What you see reflects the actual condition of the watch, with no exceptions.
Audemars Piguet maintains deliberately limited production, and waiting lists for new Royal Oak references at retail frequently extend years beyond a typical purchase timeline. The pre-owned market is where collectors actually transact, offering access to discontinued dial colours, earlier case proportions and references retired from current production. Buying a certified second-hand Audemars Piguet with original box and papers from a verified dealer in Switzerland means authentication is handled by specialists with direct exposure to a market defined by scarcity and high stakes for error. Our 12-month warranty applies to every piece in our catalogue, and our 14-day return policy covers any case where the watch does not correspond to its description.
All Audemars Piguet watches in our catalogue are available for immediate purchase with worldwide insured delivery. Standard delivery across Switzerland takes 2 to 3 business days. For clients who prefer to inspect the watch in person before completing the purchase, our appointment-only lounge in the Geneva Free Zone is available by prior arrangement.
Financing is available on selected pre-owned Audemars Piguet references for clients based in Switzerland, with terms from 3 to 24 months, no interest and no administrative fees. The full purchase price is divided into equal monthly instalments, with a minimum first payment of 25%. A decision takes under three minutes at checkout, with no documentation required beyond standard order information.
