Rolex was founded in London in 1905 and relocated to Geneva in 1919, where it has remained ever since. The brand's technical contributions to watchmaking are substantial and largely underappreciated given how dominant its commercial identity has become: the first waterproof wristwatch case in 1926, the first automatic movement with a self-winding rotor in 1931, the first watch to display two time zones simultaneously in 1954. Today, Rolex produces approximately one million watches per year entirely in-house, from alloy development to movement assembly, at a scale no other luxury Swiss manufacture comes close to matching.
At WATCHOYSTER, we carry a selection of certified pre-owned Rolex watches sourced and inspected in Switzerland. Every piece has been physically examined by our in-house certified watchmaker, verified against The Watch Register, and documented before listing. What you see reflects the actual condition of the watch, with no exceptions.
The pre-owned Rolex market in Switzerland is one of the most active and liquid segments in the entire watch industry. Demand consistently exceeds retail supply across sport references, which means the secondary market is frequently the only practical route to a Submariner, GMT-Master II or Daytona within a reasonable timeframe. Beyond availability, a certified pre-owned Rolex with original box and papers from a verified Geneva dealer is among the most stable value propositions in the luxury goods market, with steel sport references in particular holding value with a consistency that few asset classes can match. Every piece we list comes with a full condition report and real photographs taken in-house. Our 12-month warranty applies to every watch in our catalogue, and our 14-day return policy covers any case where the watch does not correspond to its description.
All Rolex watches in our catalogue are available for immediate purchase with worldwide insured delivery. Standard delivery across Switzerland takes 2 to 3 business days. For clients who prefer a personal handover, our appointment-only lounge in the Geneva Free Zone is available by prior arrangement.
For buyers based in Switzerland, Financing is available on selected pre-owned Rolex references for terms of 3 to 24 months, with no interest or fees. The minimum first payment is 25% of the purchase price, with the balance divided into equal fixed monthly instalments confirmed at checkout in under three minutes with no documentation required.
