Sinn was founded in Frankfurt in 1961 by Helmut Sinn, a pilot who treated instrument reliability as an operational requirement rather than a design preference. That engineering culture remains visible across the current catalogue through proprietary technologies including dry capsule construction to eliminate case moisture, Tegiment surface hardening for near scratchproof steel, and oil-filled cases capable of withstanding extreme pressure and temperature without fogging. These are developed and patented in-house rather than licensed from a components supplier, which sets Sinn apart from many competitors in the German tool-watch segment.
At WATCHOYSTER, we carry a selection of certified pre-owned Sinn watches, sourced and inspected in Switzerland. Every piece has been physically examined by our in-house certified watchmaker, verified against The Watch Register, and documented before listing. What you see reflects the actual condition of the watch, with no exceptions.
Sinn has built a loyal following among buyers who value function and durability over brand visibility, supported by a genuine history supplying instruments to pilots, divers and special forces units. The pre-owned market offers access to discontinued EZM and U-Boot references along with earlier pilot chronograph variants no longer in current production. Buying a certified second-hand Sinn from a verified dealer in Switzerland means authentication covers both cosmetic condition and the technical specifications, such as pressure resistance and case hardening, that define the brand's actual value. Our 12-month warranty applies to every piece in our catalogue, and our 14-day return policy covers any case where the watch does not correspond to its description.
All Sinn watches in our catalogue are available for immediate purchase with worldwide insured delivery. Standard delivery across Switzerland takes 2 to 3 business days. For clients who prefer to inspect the watch in person before completing the purchase, our appointment-only lounge in the Geneva Free Zone is available by prior arrangement.
Financing is available on selected pre-owned Sinn references for clients based in Switzerland, with terms from 3 to 24 months, no interest and no administrative fees. The full purchase price is divided into equal monthly instalments, with a minimum first payment of 25%. A decision takes under three minutes at checkout, with no documentation required beyond standard order information.
