Buy Certified Pre-Owned Enicar Watches in Switzerland

Enicar was registered in 1914 by Ariste Racine and his wife Emma Blatt in Lengnau, Switzerland — the brand name is simply "Racine" spelled backwards. The company built its reputation through the 1950s and 60s on its Sherpa line, launched after Enicar sponsored a Swiss expedition to Everest and Lhotse in 1956; a Sherpa Ocean Pearl was later strapped to the keel of the sailing ship Mayflower II during its 1957 Atlantic crossing to demonstrate the watch's ruggedness. Enicar was among the first Swiss brands to move into electric and quartz watches, but the quartz crisis proved fatal, and the original company was declared insolvent in 1987.

The Enicar name was subsequently acquired by Wah Ming Hong Ltd. of Hong Kong, Enicar's long-standing Chinese distributor, and continues to be sold in Asian markets today — but without direct production continuity from the original Lengnau manufacture. The vintage Sherpa-era pieces from 1914–1987 remain the watches collectors seek out.

At WATCHOYSTER, we carry a selection of certified pre-owned Enicar watches inspected in Switzerland. Every piece has been physically examined by our in-house certified watchmaker, verified against The Watch Register, and documented before listing. What you see reflects the actual condition of the watch, with no exceptions.

Why Buy Pre-Owned Enicar Watches?

Enicar's Sherpa dive and exploration watches were genuinely field-tested tool watches of their era, and original examples from the brand's 1950s–1980s heyday exist only on the vintage and pre-owned market. Buying a certified second-hand Enicar from a verified dealer in Switzerland means every piece has been assessed for movement accuracy, case condition and originality before listing. Our 12-month warranty applies to every watch in our catalogue, and our 14-day return policy covers any case where the watch does not correspond to its description.

Purchase Conditions

All Enicar watches in our catalogue are available for immediate purchase with worldwide insured delivery. Standard delivery across Switzerland takes 2 to 3 business days. For clients who prefer to inspect the watch in person before completing the purchase, our appointment-only lounge in the Geneva Free Zone is available by prior arrangement.

Financing is available on selected pre-owned Enicar references for clients based in Switzerland, with terms from 3 to 24 months, no interest and no administrative fees. The full purchase price is divided into equal monthly instalments, with a minimum first payment of 25%. A decision takes under three minutes at checkout, with no documentation required beyond standard order information.
