Buy Certified Pre-Owned Pequignet Watches in Switzerland
Pequignet was founded in 1973 in Morteau, France, by Émile Pequignet, a self-taught watchmaker and accomplished horseman from the Franche-Comté region. His passion for riding shaped the brand's early identity — the 1980 Equus collection featured dials engraved with horses' heads — while his 1984 invention of the Moorea link, an articulated steel bracelet, became one of Pequignet's lasting signatures. In 2004 Émile Pequignet sold the house to Didier Leibundgut, former marketing director at Zenith, who built an in-house Haute Horlogerie laboratory and, in 2011, launched the Calibre Royal — the first movement designed, developed and assembled entirely in France. Pequignet remains, by its own account, the only fully independent French manufacture of haute horlogerie still producing today.
At WATCHOYSTER, we carry a selection of certified pre-owned Pequignet watches inspected in Switzerland. Every piece has been physically examined by our in-house certified watchmaker, verified against The Watch Register, and documented before listing. What you see reflects the actual condition of the watch, with no exceptions.
Why Buy Pre-Owned Pequignet Watches?
Pequignet occupies a rare position as genuinely French haute horlogerie, with in-house movements few independent houses of any nationality can claim. The pre-owned market offers access to earlier Moorea and Royal Calibre references at a meaningful discount to current retail. Buying a certified second-hand Pequignet from a verified dealer in Switzerland means every piece has been assessed for movement accuracy, case condition and bracelet integrity before listing. Our 12-month warranty applies to every watch in our catalogue, and our 14-day return policy covers any case where the watch does not correspond to its description.
Purchase Conditions
All Pequignet watches in our catalogue are available for immediate purchase with worldwide insured delivery. Standard delivery across Switzerland takes 2 to 3 business days. For clients who prefer to inspect the watch in person before completing the purchase, our appointment-only lounge in the Geneva Free Zone is available by prior arrangement.
Financing is available on selected pre-owned Pequignet references for clients based in Switzerland, with terms from 3 to 24 months, no interest and no administrative fees. The full purchase price is divided into equal monthly instalments, with a minimum first payment of 25%. A decision takes under three minutes at checkout, with no documentation required beyond standard order information.
