Formex was founded in 1999 in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, by brothers Hans-Peter and Ferdinand Grädel, both watchmakers with a shared passion for motorsport. That influence shaped the brand's signature innovation: a patented case suspension system that isolates the movement on internal springs, cushioning it against shocks and vibration in a way conventional watch cases don't. Following a 2016 relaunch under CEO Raphael Granito — himself a downhill skater, car racer and freediver — Formex sharpened its focus on precision-engineered sports watches, including COSC-certified movements in the Essence line and 300-metre water resistance in the dive-oriented Reef collection, all designed, developed and assembled in-house in Biel/Bienne.

For clients who prefer to inspect the watch in person before completing the purchase, our appointment-only lounge in the Geneva Free Zone is available by prior arrangement.

The full purchase price is divided into equal monthly instalments, with a minimum first payment of 25%.
