Buy Certified Pre-Owned Rado Watches in Switzerland

Rado began in 1917, when brothers Fritz, Ernst and Werner Schlup converted their parents' home in Lengnau, Switzerland, into a movement factory under the name Schlup & Co. The Rado name — Esperanto for "wheel" — was launched as a distinct watch brand in 1957 with the Golden Horse, and the company's defining moment came in 1962 with the DiaStar 1, the world's first scratch-resistant watch, built from hardmetal and sapphire crystal. Rado deepened that focus on material science through the 1980s and 90s, culminating in the 1990 Ceramica, the first watch with both case and bracelet made entirely of high-tech ceramic — a material the brand has continued to push further with Plasma High-Tech Ceramic and Ceramos, earning Rado its reputation as the "Master of Materials." Rado is today part of the Swatch Group.

At WATCHOYSTER, we carry a selection of certified pre-owned Rado watches inspected in Switzerland. Every piece has been physically examined by our in-house certified watchmaker, verified against The Watch Register, and documented before listing. What you see reflects the actual condition of the watch, with no exceptions.

Why Buy Pre-Owned Rado Watches?

Rado's ceramic and hardmetal construction gives its watches genuine long-term durability, making earlier DiaStar and Ceramica references an excellent entry point into material-science watchmaking at a meaningful discount to current retail. Buying a certified second-hand Rado from a verified dealer in Switzerland means every piece has been assessed for movement accuracy, case and bracelet condition before listing. Our 12-month warranty applies to every watch in our catalogue, and our 14-day return policy covers any case where the watch does not correspond to its description.

Purchase Conditions

All Rado watches in our catalogue are available for immediate purchase with worldwide insured delivery. Standard delivery across Switzerland takes 2 to 3 business days. For clients who prefer to inspect the watch in person before completing the purchase, our appointment-only lounge in the Geneva Free Zone is available by prior arrangement.

Financing is available on selected pre-owned Rado references for clients based in Switzerland, with terms from 3 to 24 months, no interest and no administrative fees. The full purchase price is divided into equal monthly instalments, with a minimum first payment of 25%. A decision takes under three minutes at checkout, with no documentation required beyond standard order information.
