Buy Certified Pre-Owned Seiko Watches in Switzerland
Seiko traces its origins to 1881, when 21-year-old Kintaro Hattori opened a small shop selling and repairing watches and clocks in Tokyo. In 1892 he built his own factory, Seikosha — "House of Exquisite and Precision Manufacturing" — and in 1913 the company produced the Laurel, the first wristwatch ever made in Japan. The Seiko name was adopted in 1924, and the brand went on to redefine the entire watch industry in 1969 with the Astron, the world's first commercially produced quartz wristwatch, an innovation that triggered the global quartz revolution. Seiko remains one of only two watch companies in the world, alongside Rolex, that are fully vertically integrated — designing, manufacturing and assembling every component in-house.
At WATCHOYSTER, we carry a selection of certified pre-owned Seiko watches inspected in Switzerland. Every piece has been physically examined by our in-house certified watchmaker, verified against The Watch Register, and documented before listing. What you see reflects the actual condition of the watch, with no exceptions.
Why Buy Pre-Owned Seiko Watches?
Seiko's vertically integrated manufacturing gives it genuine control over movement quality rarely matched outside a handful of Swiss houses, and its role in inventing the quartz watch gives the brand a historical weight few competitors can claim. The pre-owned market offers access to earlier mechanical and vintage Seiko references at a meaningful discount to current retail. Buying a certified second-hand Seiko from a verified dealer in Switzerland means every piece has been assessed for movement accuracy, case condition, and dial integrity before listing. Our 12-month warranty applies to every watch in our catalogue, and our 14-day return policy covers any case where the watch does not correspond to its description.
Purchase Conditions
All Seiko watches in our catalogue are available for immediate purchase, with insured worldwide delivery. Standard delivery across Switzerland takes 2 to 3 business days. For clients who prefer to inspect the watch in person before completing the purchase, our appointment-only lounge in the Geneva Free Zone is available by prior arrangement.
Financing is available on selected pre-owned Seiko references for clients based in Switzerland, with terms from 3 to 24 months, no interest and no administrative fees. The full purchase price is divided into equal monthly instalments, with a minimum first payment of 25%. A decision takes under three minutes at checkout, with no documentation required beyond standard order information.
